Timmy by Megan Rivkin

Columbia University School of the Arts presents an expanded festival of new plays written by Columbia MFA Playwriting Students.

In Timmy I'm playing the role of Gem, short for Gemantha.  I'm the mother of Alexa and Morris and Aunt to Kate.  My arthritic mom Van also lives with us in the same house. The family Catfishes Alexa, my annoying, disrespectful 28 year old daughter who lives at home and doesn't pay rent, for $20K to remodel the desperately broken down kitchen.

It's been a wonderful experience working with the students on this project who are in the Columbia University MFA Program.  I'm really looking forward to getting in the space and seeing the set, costumes, lights and sound all come together to bring this piece to life!
